the room was spacious and clean. it included a tv, kettle, bottled water, snacks, tea, coffee and hot chocolate. the bed was very comfy and i appreciated two arm chairs in the bay window. breakfast was amazing and offered fresh fruit, toast with jam, and a full english breakfast.
Room 133, on the first floor, is next to the illuminated sign and constant traffic. it was very noisy due to its proximity to the roundabout. the room had a faint body odour. I had to open the window on arrival. i didn't get much sleep the first night, which impacted my day with family.

the location was superb. i especially appreciated its proximity to the seafront. the staff were very friendly too. they seemed genuinely invested in.
the television placement in the room wasn't ideal, it was fixed to the wall. this made it difficult to watch from anywhere other than the bed. the breakfast sausage had an odd cereal-like texture.

i stayed for two nights and the dinner was superb, wow! the staff were really efficient and so kind. they totally went out of their way to, which i loved. i booked late, so i got a later slot, but they called early to get me in, amazing!
i wish there were a smoking shelter with ashtrays near the car park. i found it inconvenient to have just a bench without any protection from the weather.

The service at dinner disappointed me. I waited a long time between courses, and my finished plates remained on the table for too long (it reminded me of ages). The staff seemed young and perhaps lacked the training needed to meet expected standards. It's a shame because everything else was pretty good.
